League hours will be earned by signing in at NCL meetings, grade-level meetings and retreats, Chapter Teas, Senior Presentation Events, Awards Events, Trainings (not related to a philanthropy), committee meetings, etc.  These hours will be entered into the web site for you.  Philanthropy hours will be earned by members logging in at each chapter-approved philanthropy activity and also entering their own hours into the chapter web site.  Members will also self-report on the web site any committee work done on their own time.
It is recommended that each member keep track of her own NCL hours for verification.

Other guidelines for NCL Hour reporting:

--Hours are credited on an hour-per-hour-served basis. Always check the calendar listing for the event; it should indicate the hours earned for participating in that event.

--Patroness and Ticktocker regular monthly meetings are always 1.5 hours unless the GLAD or Chapter President announces otherwise.

--Board meetings are always 2 hours unless the Chapter President announces otherwise.

--There are two types of service/philanthropy hours:  Scheduled and Flexible. Scheduled hours require members to sign up in advance.  After attending, members will receive the stated number of hours regardless of actual time served. Flexible service hours do not require advanced scheduling and are recorded based on actual time served, rounded to the nearest .25 hour.

--Philanthropy Project/Service work (including making cookies, bagging toiletries, wrapping gifts) earn 1 hour.

--Philanthropy Donations/Gifts (including shoe donations, gift wrap donations, bought and drop items) earn .5 hour per event.

--Mandatory events, including the Mother-Daughter Tea, Senior Presentation, Awards Event, and cultural events, typically include a business meeting component; these league hours will be entered for you in the web site.
